The Birth of The Docksider on Mullet Bay

The Beginning

We are Craig and Johanne, and we are embarking on a new journey hosting a Post-Luxury short-term apartment rental in Bermuda. We will always remember 2020 as the year that changed our lives. Never in a million years would we have thought that we would experience a pandemic in our lifetime. Yet, that is exactly what happened. It was a turning point for mankind and in many ways a new beginning for us.

During the pandemic, we were determined to make good use of our time. Our perspective changed, and we had clarity regarding our financial state. You see, we have never been concerned about money and finance. But we both were now in our early 40’s and realized the importance of financial responsibility. The F.I.R.E. movement started to resonate with us, and it struck a chord with us. We are not endeavoring to be rich, but as we learned being financially responsible brings many benefits.

The Problem

When you have little or no savings, you wonder: Where do you start? That question plagued us for a while in 2020. We were determined to educate ourselves on finance, once and for all. That journey has led us here to the creation of The Docksider on Mullet Bay, a Post-Luxury apartment rental in Bermuda.

Taking what we learned in 2020, we were able to save all we had to invest in The Docksider on Mullet Bay, and what we envision is a unique experience for all would-be guests to our vacation rental.
